Multiplied: Edition MAT and the Transformable Work of Art, 1959-1965 edited by Meredith Malone accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum at the Washington University in St. Louis. This publication examines the rise of multiples and the concurrent surge of interest in kinetic art in the post-World War II era. Focusing on Edition MAT, the pioneering publishing enterprise of the Swiss artist Daniel Spoerri, this book brings together more than 100 works by an international and cross­generational network of artists associated with kinetic and Op art, Nouveau Realisme, Nouvelle Tendance, Fluxus, Pop art, and Zero.
