In 2022, the Thoma Foundation awarded SITE Santa Fe a grant in support of the community engagement and programming for the exhibition Jeffrey Gibson: The Body Electric. The exhibition is on view from May 6, 2022 to September 11, 2022. In The Body Electric Jeffrey Gibson’s merging of artistic styles, and historical and contemporary cultural references synergizes to create vibrant, multilayered works of art that express the complexities and relationships between injustice, marginalization, and personal identity.
